Schistes is a genus of hummingbird that was long considered to have only one species, the wedge-billed hummingbird S. geoffroyi. The genus usually includes 2 species, recognized by most authorities. The American Ornithological Society has yet to recognize the split:
- Geoffroy's wedgebill (Schistes geoffroyi)
- White-throated wedgebill (Schistes albogularis)
