Schmidt’s blind snake (Afrotyphlops schmidti) is a species of snake in the family Typhlopidae.[2][3] The species is endemic to Africa.

Etymology

The specific name, schmidti, is in honor of American herpetologist Karl Patterson Schmidt.[4]

Geographic range

It is found in Tanzania, Zambia, and eastern and southern Democratic Republic of the Congo (formerly known as Zaire).[1]
