Schulenburg Independent School District is a public school district based in Schulenburg, Texas (USA).

Schulenburg High School is a 2A school with approximately 270 students located midway between San Antonio and Houston on Interstate 10. The Lady Horns and Shorthorns are consistently successful in UIL academic events as well as other extracurricular activities. Although the FFA, Shorthorn Band, and athletic programs have a tradition of excellence, they continually strive for improvement. [3]

Schulenburg won the U.I.L. Class 2A state football title in 1991 and 1992 under Coach David Husmann.[4]

In 2011, the school district was rated "academically acceptable" by the Texas Education Agency.[5]

In 2012, the school district missed for the second year in a row the Adequate Yearly Progress goals set by the federal No Child Left Behind Act.[6]
