See Kee Oon (Chinese: 施奇恩; pinyin: Shī Qí'ēn, born 1966) is a Judge of the Supreme Court of Singapore. He is the current Presiding Judge of the State Courts of Singapore.

Education

Career

  • 1991 He joined the Singapore Legal Service and was appointed as a deputy registrar and magistrate in the State Courts.[2]
  • From 1995 to 1997 served as a Justices' Law Clerk.
  • From 1998 to 2007 as a District Judge hearing a variety of cases in the criminal, civil and family courts.
  • June 2007, Head the Insolvency and Public Trustee’s Office in June 2007.
  • November 2009, reappointed as a District Judge. He was subsequently appointed as the Senior District Judge heading the Criminal Justice Division of the State Courts.
  • 1 Oct 2013 appointed as the Chief District Judge of the Subordinate Court of Singapore[3]
  • 2013, Kee Oon was part of the 12-member steering committee to guide the development of the Singapore University of Social Sciences School of Law.[4]
  • 14 April 2014, appointed as a Judicial Commissioner of the Supreme Court of Singapore [5]
  • 2014 appointed as the Presiding Judge of the State Courts of Singapore
  • 31 January 2017 appointed as Judge of the Supreme Court[6][7]
