Seidu Yahaya (born December 31, 1989 in Accra) is a Ghanaian footballer for FC Sheriff Tiraspol in the Moldovan National Division.He joined the yellow-blacks on 14th of June 2015 through a Bossman move after his 3 year contract has with romanian Giants Astra Giurgiu expired at the end of the 2014/2015 season.Seidu yahaya is one of the only two Ghanaian players to have won their respective league competitions in the year 2011.
Career
Yahaya started his professional career at Tema Youth in 2006.[1] In 2008, Yahaya was from Tema Youth transferred to Anagennisi Karditsa on a loan deal,where he featured 29 times for the Canaries all making it in the starting eleven,he never warmed bench in his loan spell with the Karditsa based side.From Anagennisi he made it to AEK Athens where he featured five times for the Enosis as they are usually called.[2] Although he made some good appearances in the start of the 2009–2010 season, including his first Europa League game against Everton at the Goodison Park in England. Yahaya fell out of favor with Dusan Bajevic quickly and was never featured again.
Signed by Maccabi Haifa in 2010. After a great half season where he featured twelve times under coach Elisha Levy,it was decided that Maccabi will sign Yahaya on a contract. In the first season with Maccabi Haifa Yahaya won the championship and lost in the cup final. Maccabi Haifa exercised Yahaya's contract option for the next three years where he left his previous shirt number 18 shirt for his favourite number 6 shirt.
On the 20 June 2012, he signed a three year contract with Liga I club Astra Giurgiu .[3]Which ended On 30th June 2015.He then joined Fc sheriff Tiraspol where he won the Moldovan Supercup in his first game against Milsami Orhei.He picked up the number 24 shirt at sheriff as he use to wear at Anagennisi.
