Seoul FC Martyrs is a South Korean football club based in the Gangbuk-gu district of Seoul.

History

The team fared very poorly in its first season, finishing in the last place[1] in the 2009 K3 League with a goal difference of −175, having won two matches and lost 30 out of 32.

In the 2010 K3 League Martyrs played in Group A and finished eighth out of nine teams.[2] Martyrs again registered two victories, drawing twice and losing 21 for a goal difference of −57.

2011 was the best season for Seoul Martyrs as the team recorded nine wins and three draws, earning 30 points and a 5th-place finish in Group B.[3]

However, Martyrs did not win a single game in 2012, drawing twice and finishing last in Group A.[4]

The 2013 season was a year of relative success, with four victories and two draws allowing Martyrs to amass 14 points and finish 8th of 9 teams in Group B.[5]

But as in 2012, Martyrs could not follow up on the successes of the previous season and the 2014 campaign saw them register only two victories to finish last in Group B.[6]

After the 2015 season, when the club finished in the last place in Group A with 25 defeats in 25 games and with the goal difference of −275,[7] the team withdrew from the league and decided to not compete in the 2016 season.
