Shimonia fischeri is a moth in the Cossidae family. It is found in the Democratic Republic of Congo,[1] where it has been recorded from south-eastern region of the Congo Basin.
The wingspan is 45 mm for females. The forewings are light ochre, with short striae and a terminal line reduced to striae. There is a dark olive subterminal line and a dark ochre discal spot in the cell. The hindwings are glossy light ochre.
Etymology
The species is named in honour of botanist Professor Dr. Eberhard Fischer.[2]
