Shinkaia crosnieri is a species of squat lobster in a monotypic genus[1] in the family Munidopsidae. S. crosnieri lives in deep-sea hydrothermal vent ecosystems, living off of the chemosynthetic activity of certain bacteria living on its setae. [2]
