Sidney Lawson Smith (August 3, 1912 – February 14, 2006) was an American football coach in the United States.[1]

Coaching career

Coach Sid Smith was the head college football coach for the McPherson Bulldogs located in McPherson, Kansas. He held that position for 16 seasons, from 1953 until 1966, and then again from 1971 through 1972. His coaching record at McPherson was 62 wins, 82 losses and 1 tie.As of the conclusion of the 2010 season, this ranks him #1 at McPherson in total wins and #12 at the school in winning percentage (.431).[2]
