Silver Falls School District

Silver Falls School District is a school district in the U.S. State of Oregon that serves the communities of Scotts Mills and Silverton in Marion County and Clackamas County, as well as the surrounding foothills along Silver Creek and the Abiqua River up to Silver Falls State Park. It is approximately 240 square miles (620 km2) in size.[1] The current Superintendent is Andy Bellando. [2]

School Board

Board officers are elected annually, and terms begin and end during summer break. Terms last for four years, and elections are staggered so that no more than four positions become open at a time.[3]

Demographics

In the 2009 school year, the district had 74 students classified as homeless by the Department of Education, or 2.1% of students in the district.[4]
