The Sindh Institute of Skin Diseases is a 50-bed dermatological hospital, the only public sector skin hospital located at Regal Chowk in Karachi. Over 4,000 OPD patients visit the hospital daily. In November 2005 the Sindh Health Minister Shabbir Ahmed Qaimkhani removed the medical superintendent of the hospital for unsatisfactory performance of the hospital following a complaint from MPA Shakir.[1]
