Sir John Mordaunt, 5th Baronet (by 1649 – 6 September 1721) of Walton d'Eiville was an English politician. [1]

He was the 2nd son of Sir Charles Mordaunt, 3rd Bt. and succeeded his elder brother to the baronetcy on 24 April 1665. He inherited the Massingham Estate at Little Massingham, Norfolk.

He represented Warwickshire in the House of Commons from 3 August 1698 to 1715.

He married twice; firstly, in 1678, Anne the daughter of William Risley of the Friary, Bedford and secondly, in 1695, Penelope the daughter of Sir George Warburton, 3rd Baronet, of Arley, Cheshire. He left two sons and two daughters and was succeeded by his eldest son, Sir Charles Mordaunt, 6th Baronet.
