Skënder Gega (born 14 November 1963 in Tropojë) is an Albanian retired footballer. He is currently the head coach of Kuwaiti Premier League side Al-Jahra, where he became the first Albanian coach in Asia.

Playing career

Gega played the majority of his career at Partizani Tirana, an Albanian team, whilst also having a two-year stint with German side Sportfreunde Siegen between 1992 and 1994. He was also a member of the Albanian national team between 1987 and 1989 where he earned 10 senior caps.

Coaching career

He was appointed the head coach of the Albania under-19s in February 2011 where he remained until October 2011, when he was promoted to the head coach of the Albania under-21s.[4][5]
