Skoulikaria is a mountain village of Municipality of Agios Georgios Karaiskakis with 273 residents (census 2011) at an altitude of 973 meters and is about 44 km from the town of Arta, Greece. [1]

Under the Kapodistrias scheme, Skoulikaria was until the end of 2010, the newly formed district municipality Georgios Karaiskakis based Diasella. Under the new administrative division under the Plan Kallikratis Skoulikaria joined extended Municipality Georgios Karaiskakis, which was formed through the merger of pre-existing municipalities Heraklion Karaiskaki Tetrafilia. [2] Skoulikaria along with GIANNIOTI and Agia Paraskevi are the local community Skoulikaria with a total population 441 people.

History

Skoulikaria is the birthplace of Georgios Karaiskakis general of the Revolution of 1821 (1782–1827)
