"Slip Away"
Song

"Slip Away" is a song by DJ/producer Sanjoy, featuring singer Trevor Holmes. The song was released on 20 May 2016.

Background and release

Sanjoy attended Miami Music Week in 2016 and was inspired by the many dance music artists he met. After returning to the studio, Sanjoy worked to compile his album for release with the front single Slip Away. The response was overwhelmingly positive and the song was featured on various music stores.[1][2]

Composition

"Slip Away" is a midtempo tropical EDM song that contains elements of house music. Reviewers describe the song as a representation of "relaxation, sunshine, and a sandy shoreline", that will bring you straight to summer.[3] The song is written in the key of A-sharp minor with a tempo of 118 beats per minute. Sanjoy wrote the piece with songwriters Stephen Rezza and Natalie Hawkins.
