Sniffles Takes a Trip is a 1940 Merrie Melodies cartoon directed by Chuck Jones.[1]

Plot

Sniffles goes into the countryside hoping to live there.[2] He finds that the countryside is very scary in fact, tries to escape. He then runs back to the city in the end.

Home Video

This was the first Sniffles cartoon to be officially released on DVD by Warner Home Video. It was restored, with the Turner "dubbed" version format, appearing as a bonus feature on Looney Tunes Golden Collection: Volume 6 in 2008. From 2008 to 2011 it was the only Sniffles cartoon available on DVD. The other "dubbed version" was The Fighting 69 ½th.

In 2012 it was remastered and restored (with the Blue Ribbon titles, since the original titles are lost) for Looney Tunes Mouse Chronicles: The Chuck Jones Collection DVD/Blu-Ray release, along with 11 other Sniffles cartoons.

The original end titles were not restored for the DVD release [1].
