Solitas gruveli, the Guinea Flathead, is a species of flathead native to the eastern Atlantic Ocean along the African coast. It occurs in relatively shallow waters at depths of from 20 to 200 metres (66 to 656 ft) and is of minor importance to local commercial fisheries. This species grows to a length of 20 centimetres (7.9 in) TL. This species is the only known member of its genus.[1]
