The hospital was originally built in 1902 as a Royal Naval Hospital[1] and expanded during World War II by the Royal Air Force.[2]

The hospital has 35 inpatient beds and five social care beds. It operates various rehabilitation, outpatient services.[3] In November 2013 the Minor Injury Unit was closed and staff relocated to Withybush General Hospital.[4]
