Squirrel River
Appearance
The Squirrel River is a 72-mile (116 km) tributary of the Kobuk River in the U.S. state of Alaska.[1] It begins in the Baird Mountains of the Northwest Arctic Borough and flows generally southeast to meet the larger river at the city of Kiana.[2] From Kiana, the Kobuk flows southwest into Hotham Inlet of Kotzebue Sound on the Chukchi Sea.[2]
