Squirrel River

The Squirrel River is a 72-mile (116 km) tributary of the Kobuk River in the U.S. state of Alaska.^[1] It begins in the Baird Mountains of the Northwest Arctic Borough and flows generally southeast to meet the larger river at the city of Kiana.^[2] From Kiana, the Kobuk flows southwest into Hotham Inlet of Kotzebue Sound on the Chukchi Sea.^[2]
