St James the Great, Shirley is a Grade C listed Church of England parish in the Anglican Diocese of Birmingham.[1]

History

St James Church was started in 1831 and enlarged in 1882. In 1893, Shirley became its own ecclesiastical parish.[2]

The church is in a joint parish with:

  • St Patrick’s Church, Earlswood
  • St John the Divine, Shirley
  • Christ the King, Shirley
  • St Mary Magdalene, Shirley
