Stefan Turchak (Template:Lang-uk; February 28, 1938 - 1988) was a Ukrainian conductor.

Biography

Stefan Turchak was born in the village of Matskowicz, in what is now the Podkarpackie Voivodeship in Poland. He grew up in Dublyany. In 1955 he graduated from Lviv Music and Pedagogical School. In 1973, Turchak was awarded the Z. P. Paliashvili State Prize of the Georgian SSR. He was also awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.[1]
