Sterijino pozorje is a festival of performances created on the basis of the national drama heritage and today is one of the most important theatre institutions in Serbia.

The festival was named after Jovan Sterija Popović and established in 1956 in Novi Sad, also known as the Serbian Athens. This festival made a valuable contribution to the affirmation of Serbia and former Yugoslavia.
