Sultan bin Abdullah bin Aziz Al Saud is a son of the late Saudi King, Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud, who was the sixth king of the Saudi Kingdom.[1][2]

Personal life and family

Sultan's father ascended to the throne on 1 August 2005 upon the death of his half-brother, King Fahd and died in 2015 at the age of 90.[3] Sultan bin Abdullah was born in January 1995 in Riyadh. The prince has 14 brothers and sisters, two from the same mother (Sahab bint Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz al Saud and Saad bin Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Saud).

Sultan has spoken highly of his childhood, believing it was the best times he ever lived. However, he says he wishes he "soaked it up more."[4]

Career

Sultan bin Abdullah bin Aziz Al Saud graduated from Kingdom School in Riyadh, and particularly followed his early studies in sciences.[citation needed]

The prince is currently studying law at King Saud University, and he also works in private business. He is also an advisor for the Saudi government, a board member of the King Abdullah Foundation, and is CEO of Alfa Imtiyaz Holding Company, where he directs day to day company operations.[5]

He has traveled extensively, and his father was the main teacher in his life. Over the course of his career, he has experienced multiple important political events, the most prominent being the peaceful transition of the authority in the Saudi Kingdom after his father died.[citation needed]

Sultan bin Abdullah's main influences in life have been his father, King Faisal (his half-uncle), Umar ibn-Al-Khattib and King Abdulaziz bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud (his grandfather). These men, had a major impact on the prince’s life and the Arab world in general.[citation needed]

The prince, despite his studies and work routine as a millennial, has been noted as a sportsman.[citation needed]
