The Swedish Institute of International Affairs (Swedish: Utrikespolitiska Institutet (UI)) is a public-service organization located in central Stockholm, Sweden. It was founded in 1938 as a politically independent institute supporting research and education in international political issues. The institute currently has a staff of about 40, including approximately 15 researchers.
