The sports club of Csepel Autógyár used to have women's and men's divisions, but these divisions were discontinued in 1990. The Szigetszentmiklósi KSK was founded in 1992. The adult team was promoted to the NBII in two years, where it has been participating ever since, with a one-year gap. The most outstanding achievement of the club is that it won the western group of the NBII in the 2010/11 championship, and thus was able to play in the second line of the championship (NBI/B) with its home-grown players. The youth team won the NBII South group matches three times, the NBII group champions tournament twice, and twice made it to the top 8 teams in the country in the Youth Cup.[1]
