The T. A. G. Hungerford Award is a biennial Australian literary award, first established in 1998. The award is to encourage new writers from Western Australia who have not previously been published in book form.[1]

Nominations are accepted for the award. Winners receive $6,000 in cash from New Edition Bookshop and a publishing contract with Fremantle Arts Centre Press. For nominations for the award, the guidelines and entry form are found at the WritingWA website.[1]

The Award has been named in honour of Tom Hungerford (b 1915, d 2011) a prominent Western Australian writer.[2]
