Taepodong

The name Taepodong (Korean: 대포동, meaning "large watery place") can refer to various topics related to North Korea:

  • Musudan-ri, a rocket launching facility located in an area known as Taepo-dong when Korea was occupied by Japan and now divided between North and South Korea
  • Taepodong-1, a North Korean missile tested on August 31, 1998, at Musudan-ri
  • Taepodong-2, a North Korean intercontinental ballistic missile tested on July 4, 2006
