G-mel[edit]

Emerl's form in Sonic Advance 3 is called G-Mel, not "Gemerl". Gemerl is just an incorrect fan name ( Like calling Super Shadow "Hyper Shadow" ). Because the only place it is listed is the official Japanese website for Sonic Advance 3, that is the only name to use. Especially considering how characters' names are the same in both English and Japanese ( "Sonikku" is due to how Kanji is designed. Sega of Japan still uses "Sonic," such as game titles ).

Emel?[edit]

According to the Closed Captions for Sonic X, his name was still Emerl. However, for whatever reason, it was pronounced as "Emel." 4Kids does not usually list which actor play which character in the staff credits, so I'm not sure what their official spelling of it was.

E-122[edit]

27/1/06 Shouldn't E-122 be Psi (or Chi) not Gemerl (leroy- I don't have a username)

Merging?[edit]

"Gemerl is completely described in this article, and is related to Emerl, so a merger of the two articles should occur." -Anonymous Editor

Agree Make sure you everything have copy over here though, including the bits that are not under the 'history' section, notably the first sentence on the page. Some (albeit very little) of it isn't here. --DavidHOzAu 06:09, 24 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I merged it! --anon

Emerl a cyborg?[edit]

Emerl is a cyborg (it says it is a living being with a heart and free will and made of human parts)

Citations needed
In Sonic Battle it was said that it was given a 'soul' by Gerald Robotnik - that's not a heart. That may just be a special program or scripts the Doctor gave Emerl. Anyway, it has to be something artificially designed, since the Journals said the soul was akin to Maria's.

And other than the heart, I can't find any references to human parts in Emerl. --Feathered serpent 09:29, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that a soul makes you human in some way. --Alexie 19:13, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

By, "soul", it is used as a medaphore. Reffering to Gerald giving Emerl thoughts and sympathy. Not an actual "soul". UnDeRsCoRe 03:43, 27 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the cyborg bit. I've found nothing to suggest that Emerl has any living components, and, even if it does, it was never referred to as a cyborg in-game. Lots of robots in the Sonic series have living creatures inside them, powering them, even, but those aren't called cyborgs, either. Wikipedia's not for original research, so just because it seems like it should be called a cyborg to some individual editor does not mean it should be called one here. We should stick to what he's actually called in the game, and in the game's official references. Just to make it absolutely clear, please see the following link.

http://sonic.sega.jp/battle/chara_em1.html

The text there describes him as a "フシギなロボット", which translates to "mysterious robot." Case closed. --Matt S. 16:08, 19 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Emerl built by Eggman in Sonic X?[edit]

A combat robot built by Dr. Eggman

We all know Emerl was built by an ancient civilization, according to Sonic Battle. This seems to be the case as well for the anime.

I caught Eggman saying something along the line: "Of course, he is powerful. It is an ancient war machine that can learn rivals' skills", in the episode where Emerl goes berserk. There is not a scene where we can see Eggman actually working on Emerl, either.

I was watching the Japanese version, btw

Gizoid article[edit]

There's this Gizoid article that is about Emerl, and has extremely little information. Think it should be merged? --anon

Theory on Nonaggression[edit]

Maybe instead of completely using the chaos emeralds he used the negative energies (the same way Chaos did in Sonic Adventure) since Sonic was still able to use the Chaos Emeralds after they returned to him (like in Sonic Adventure, after Chaos had used the negative energies leaving Sonic to use the positive) It's unconfirmed and just a theory, though... but it would explain why Sonic was able to use them... Where's the page?[edit]

Why is this a redirecct page to the Sonic Battle page? I apologise if I have missed something (I'm new here), but shouldn't this be its own page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aero-Plex (talkcontribs) 20:22, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
