Albert Merlin was a founder in 1975 and president of the French Association of Business Economists (AFEDE ). Then he developed AFEDE’s international activities which led him to create, then preside over the European Federation of Business Economists (Eurofabe) which brought together French, British, German, Italian and other European economists. |

Specialized in analyzing the interaction between business and macoeconomy, he was noted for market forecasting, analyzing of business costs and relative prices, return on investment and corporate strategies. This led him to be a regular interlocutor of government officials and universities. Albert was elected president of the Société d’Economie Politique, France’s society (founded in 1842) of distinguished academics and corporate economists. |
