Expansion[edit]

@Xyl 54: Greetings, you look like you're enjoying yourself. Regards ;O) Keith-264 (talk) 20:18, 22 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cheeky little CE, blammed a few typos, altered width of some tables, tidied references. All suggestive. Keith-264 (talk) 08:46, 23 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Keith, I noticed you'd changed the layout of the ship tables; can I ask why? The tables before were fairly symmetrical; now they are all different widths, and the notes in the Notes columns are all bunched up. Is that better?
Also, you brought two paragraphs in the Background section together, with the edit summary 'closed gap to retain cite': Are you thinking the Churchill comment is cited in Kemp? Maybe I haven't been clear, there: It isn't (though it is in Ruegg & Hague). If you need a citation I can add one, but the quote is fairly well-known, I think, and it's included in Churchill's page on wikiquote (tho' I don't know how to link to it). Regards, Xyl 54 (talk) 22:44, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I tried to narrow the notes sections to remove empty space but don't mind you altering them again. The Background section had a line break with no citation for the upper part, I assumed (mistakenly) that it had been one paragraph. If not I would rather it was cited, broken or closed. I was quite surprised at your inclusion of the other operations because I hadn't noticed that they formed a loose series, which just goes to show how piecemeal my editing has become since I became a shift worker. I suppose the other articles will need reciprocal amendments. All very interesting; I look forward to your next steps. If I can help, pls ask. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 23:25, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I came back with the ref for the Churchill quote, but it's gone! So, no worries... I've re-jigged the tables, though; I think they look better if they're in line with each other. And I've moved the references out of the headings; it messes with the edit summaries. Happy editing, Xyl 54 (talk) 23:58, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me, I thought that the Churchill stuff came from one of the other articles but couldn't find it to I imported a bit. I should have noted that here. I've put it in for reassessment as a B. Regards Keith-264 (talk) 09:50, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hutson[edit]

Got a caution about self-published works when adding Hutson to the biblio. The volume has an isbn, contains copied of primary source material but lacks a bibliography. 11:37, 21 April 2023 (UTC)

PQ 8[edit]

Used adapted sections from PQ 8s Background and Prelude as they are generic. Keith-264 (talk) 12:27, 21 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
