Trendy name for a very old practice[edit]

There has always been a distinction between people who see their faith as a personal matter and those who feel compelled to change the world. This article doesn't really do the topic justice. Some of these people may actually be nasty and violent. Rabid Christians who bomb abortion clinics for one example. And Muslims terrorists for another. Even Buddhists can be violent extremists.
