I'm a King and I know for a fact the Latin Kings are based out of Chicago not New York. Someone please take that off as it is disrespectful to real Latin Kings and the founders who really started the nation in Chicago back in the 1950's. How is it supposed to be based in New York when New York Latin Kings didn't start showing up until the 1990's and Chicago Latin Kings been around since the late 1950s and early 1960s? :You aren't using logic. The article says that because "most of its members were already incarcerated" the ALKN inevitably (unavoidably) became one of Chicago's largest/violent street gangs. It isn't probable that formerly incarcerated gang members, most likely convicted for violent or serious drug offenses, are going to start a community flower garden. Why isn't this written like the other gang articles? I know the Lating Kings didn't start as a violnent gang and is trying to stop doing that, but as of present, it IS a violent gang and has not maintained it's positive role it was established to do. Stop posting that the Latin Kings are based out of New York or that they were started over there when they were started in Chicago. Yes the Latin Kings have a strong presence in New York but they have a large presence everywhere there are is a large Latino population like in California and Florida they are active in their as well. |
