Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because... some of the text (such as listing of band members and their roles in the band) is identical through various resources, it is extremely difficult to create a very unique content without replicating some of the common knowledge information. That being said I would revise the content to make it as unique as possible, as soon as possible. --Ddadian (talk) 19:36, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- That's actually a separate problem, but please do! Rephrasing the same information in your own words would be enough here.
- The thing this article really needs is a couple of published secondary sources (press coverage, reviews, entries in music encyclopedias) to confirm that the group meets the basic notability requirements of Wikipedia. As it stands you have a full week to dig something up - say if you need any help with this or have any questions. --McGeddon (talk) 19:44, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
I would definitely include the secondary sources, shortly. This is my first article, still learning the rules; I would work harder to make sure the guidelines are followed in the future. --Ddadian (talk) 20:02, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
- No problem, and the rewrite looks good. Removing the deletion template is fine, but do make sure the article has some sources, or it'll end up being put up for deletion again by another editor in the future, when they chance across it and notice it has no references. --McGeddon (talk) 20:31, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
