• Normally, I fix minor things myself without mentioning them in a review, but this is such a lengthy and in-depth article that I simply can't get to most of them. I've fixed a lot, but you've got a staggering amount of information here, and I know I haven't gotten everything. You've done a hell of a job on the quantity of work ... we just need to work on the quality. :)

• Is there a way you could incorporate at least one introductory sentence for folks who just wander into the article instead of following one of the parent links? As it is now, you jump right into the action, and someone not understanding that this is just a child article might get confused.

• For the individual seasons, I'd suggest doing a see also to the main season articles, similar to the "main" headers under each section.

• ? I'm not sure what you mean. Where articles exist, there are already 'main article' links. In those articles, there are "See also" sections that link back to this page. Do you mean add a link for all seasons even if they are a red link? Strikehold (talk) 00:33, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

• There's a few places where hyphens are used in season records and scores instead of –es.

• ? Did you change these yourself? I highlighted all the hyphens using Firefox, but don't see any in scores or records...

• You mention that he "would be paid" a $12,000 salary ... did he actually collect that, or was it more or less?

• Y I believe so, reference says: "Tatum signed on to coach at the University of Maryland for a salary of $12,000 a year, which was $3,000 more than he was making at OU." I tweaked this. Strikehold (talk) 00:33, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

• In the 1949 schedule, there's several locations that are left blank. Were these unavailable, or did you just leave them out? If they're unavailable, I'd suggest a N/A similar to what you did with attendance figures.

• Y I can't figure this out. The media guide doesn't say and contemporary sources I found don't specify. I've talked to the guys at College Football Datawarehouse about this and looked all over the place, but can't figure out where the hell they played home games this season. It definitely wasn't Byrd Stadium, but it could have been Griffith Stadium in D.C. or Old Byrd Stadium in C.P. They played at Griffith in 1947, but I don't know if they moved back to C.P. in '48 or not. Strikehold (talk) 00:33, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

• There's a template available for converting old dollar figures to modern figures to account for inflation ... there's a few places in this article where that template might be useful.

• I'm confused about this "rule banning postseason play" that suddenly pops up in the 1952 season. Maryland played in bowl games before this ... why wasn't it mentioned earlier in the article?

• I don't think this would help you for anything but a handful of games, but there's a book called Hokie Games that includes narratives of every Virginia Tech game played until 2005; it might be useful for some of the Maryland-VT games, if you can find a copy.

• Instead of number-one, use No. 1.

• ? Why do you prefer that? It seems to contradict the 'one not 1' rule of thumb, and I don't see anything in WP:MOSNUM that promotes that usage. The only thing like that I see is "Proper names, formal numerical designations, and other idioms comply with common usage: e.g., write Chanel No. 5..."

• Instead of 1st-ranked, use first-ranked. For numbers 10 and higher, you should use numerals, however. Ninth-ranked defense, but 10th-ranked offense. The same goes for non-hyphenated items. Third, not 3rd.

• Y You're right, there are some errors in that regard, but I usually write out "ten". That seems to comply with MOSNUM, which says single word numbers can be written out. Strikehold (talk) 00:33, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

• In the Tatum's departure section, you allude to conflicts between football success and the desire to improve academic standards as being a factor in the coach's departure. Is there a way you can directly connect the two ... a newspaper article or book that flat-out states that was the reason for the departure? Even if it's someone saying they believe Tatum left for that reason, it'd be good.
