Opera?

I'm surprised to see this composition described as an opera. AFAIK, it's a Schauspielmusik, or incidental music to Sophocles' play. A more appropriate title for this article might be Oedipus at Colonus (Mendelssohn). -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 04:32, 2 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
