Addition[edit]

Hello, I am looking to add to this page as part of a university project that requires us to add to a Wikipedia page that relates to science communication. Given that The Penny Magazine was one such method of distributing information about science to working class Victorians I have decided to put my focus onto the magazine.

I am planning to add a section focusing on the early success of the magazine which saw it sell over 200,000 copies in its first year. Using the works of a variety of historians I will hopefully show the reasons behind the early success whilst also showing how some of these methods would lead to its eventual problems.

As I am new to Wikipedia and editing in general, any advice or comments would be highly welcome so please don’t hesitate to respond if you have suggestions.
