Thunderhead from The Incredibles

[edit]

Stephen, it is not appropriate to put an entire section on a disambiguation page to discuss one of the examples of the word that should merely be listed on it, complete with an image and a See Also section. That's not what Dab pages are for. You list the version, and leave a link to either his article, or the article (if any) on which he is mentioned, and that's it. And in the See Also section, the article to which you linked was The Incredibles article, even though he's not even mentioned in it, except in that article's See Also section, which just leads back to that dab page. You even linked to a quote by Edna on Wikiquote, even though the quote's not about him, and she only makes a passing mention of him. This is way too redundant. I'm sorry, but you've been on Wikipedia for almost as long as I have, and I think you should be showing better judgment than this. I removed all this material, left just a mention of him on the dab page that links to the Characters from the Incredibles article, and that's enough. W.A.S.P. song

[edit]

The heavy metal band W.A.S.P. have a song entitled "Thunderhead" on their album The Headless Children - IMHO, if Phish's song has an entry on the disambig page, W.A.S.P.'s song deserves one too, but I don't know how notable W.A.S.P. are in comparison to Phish. What do others think? Dom Kaos (talk) 01:35, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First, please place new posts or sections below the older ones, not above them. As for the song, I'm not sure exactly what the notability guidelines are governing disambiguation pages (and didn't find anything helpful here), but I would guess that they're far more lenient than the guidelines for articles. So feel free to list that song too. If there's no article, then the wikilink for it will simply be red, as almost half the links on it already are anyway. Thanks for bringing this up. :-) Nightscream (talk) 04:03, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, my mistake re: placing of posts - thanks for letting me know. I've added that reference Dom Kaos (talk) 18:55, 4 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm removing the reference to The Headless Children because it's not an ambiguity about the word Thunderhead. If anyone feels strongly they can reinstate it using a proper redirect (as per the other songs on the page). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.120.101.112 (talk) 16:06, 22 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
