Doubling of articles
[edit]I just discovered that another (not as developed, almost a stub) article exists about this species, with the title Charonia tritonis. That article needs to be merged with this one I think, and the other left as a re-direct page. I only started with WP in July of this year, so I have had no experience at all with merging two articles. However I am willing to try if no-one else is going to do this soon. I wrote a little in both articles in order to help clarify the apparent fact that one article is actually about the genus Charonia, and the other article is about Charonia tritonis. Maybe this is good enough like that... or perhaps they should still be merged? Invertzoo 01:10, 28 September 2007 (UTC)
- I believe they should be merged. In addition i am not sure what is the evidence for the statement "Some sea stars (including the crown-of-thorns starfish) appear to be able to detect the approach of the mollusk by means which are not clearly understood, and they will attempt flight before any physical contact has taken place." Movie
[edit]Someone left this at the bottom of the article; an interesting bit of trivia which needs a reference. -- Beland 00:55, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- There exists a very lame, inaccurate, 1950's movie in which these mollusks attack the southern coast of California, via the irrigation suppply. Most notably, the mollusks have developed eyes!
