Tariq Mehmood Bajwa was elected as Member of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab in general elections March, 2008. He is famous for "Fake Degree Case" in which he earned Master degree first then Bachelors and then Matriculation. According to him, he earned his master degree from" Gojra University". This university is not yet present in Pakistan. His case is pending in Supreme Court of Pakistan and his opposite party is Malik Maqsood Ahmad Awan S/O Ch. Ali Muhammad Awan (Late) a very famous lawyer and social activist of Sangla Hill, who belongs to Dera Bakhsian, Sangla Hill and was a candidate of provincial assembly from the same constituency. He has filed an application against the said MPA for his disqualification.
