Taylor Jenkins Reid is an American novelist best known for her novels The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones & The Six.

Career

Reid began her career in film production.[1] She worked as a casting assistant for three years, after she graduated from college before trying other jobs.[2] Reid started writing part time while working at a high school until she got a book deal.[2]

Her first novel, Forever, Interrupted was published in 2013.

The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo was published in 2017. It was nominated for a Goodreads Choice Award for Best Historical Fiction of 2017[3] and was a finalist for Book of the Month's Book of the Year award in 2017.[4]

Her 2019 novel, Daisy Jones & The Six, is being developed into a web-based miniseries by Amazon Studios, also called Daisy Jones & The Six.[5][6] It will be co- produced by Reese Witherspoon.[5] The novel, Daisy Jones & The Six, tells the story of the ups and downs of a fictional 70s rock band.[7] It is loosely based on Fleetwood Mac and the recording of their hit album Rumours.[7][8]

She co-wrote the Hulu television show, Resident Advisors.[9]

Personal life

Reid grew up in Acton, Massachusetts.[10] She is married to Alex Jenkins Reid, and they live in Los Angeles with their daughter.[11][12]
