preposition in output?

[edit]

I love this template, but the preposition was driving me up the wall. I think 'of' makes the output to wordy, and it isn't used by real people talking about ships. Standard usage in the wild is "MV big ship, 200,000,000 tons deadweight." --john.james (talk) 04:18, 23 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Tonnes?

[edit]

Why not an option to use the shorter "tonnes" instead of "metric tons"? Pol098 (talk) 18:21, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
