Updated "template" page

[edit]

Hey everyone,

I made some changes to the main page for this template, making use of the <noinclude>...</noinclude><nowiki> and <nowiki><includeonly>...</includeonly> tags. (See meta:Help:Template#Noinclude and includeonly).

This might be a preferred usage to allow for the usage instructions to be included in the main page, with this discussion page being used for conversations regarding changes, etc. to the template...

Examples (which are very valuable) could be done here also (I'm not sure how the above tags would handle examples in the main page...

Hospitalized

{{Wstress3d|{{1}}|{{2}}|{{3}}|{{PAGENAME}}}}?

[edit]

Do we need an extra parameter in this template for the page name? Currently anyone who adds this to their user page without substing and amending it is indexed on the category under "U" for User. With (for example) Wikipedia:Babel templates the {{PAGENAME}} parameter is added which indexes the pages under the first letter after the colon - ie the actual user's name. Can we add this parameter here? -- Francs2000 16:17, 8 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I fixed the template. There's no need to add an extra parameter, but the categories won't actually update until people edit their user pages. Patience... —Ilmari Karonen (talk) 22:33, 29 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Added level nul

[edit]

I added another level so that if someone just typed in {{Wstress3d}}, there would be an image and it would work. It also works with the Template:Wstressl3d template. It now looks like: (see right)

I didn't do a really good image so if someone could help create one that's even better, go on and upload! Oh, one last thing, there is a category for those that have the nul level. --Leon2323

Added level 7

[edit]

I've added another level of wikistress, and it looks a litlle something like this (I didn't do a good job on it, so I was just wondering if this image could be re-uploaded.):

Use the list

[edit]

Can we please, in the future, use the list as the canonical guideline for valid values, and just point people there instead of having scattered and inaccurate lists everywhere? SgeoTC 06:26, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The stress meter that changes by itself

[edit]
Purge the meter The random stress meter that changes every few minutes

The one on the right -->

It cycles from state 0 to 9 every hour.

To use on your own page just add

Code
{{User:Af648/RandomStressMeter}}

Go to the template page for a more detailed explaination. Af648 09:44, 6 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
