Tennant's products are used to clean and coat surfaces. The Company operates through the following operating segments: North America, Latin America, Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific.[1]

The company was founded in Minneapolis by George H. Tennant as a wood-working business in 1870.[2] It was incorporated in 1909.[3]

Tennant is U.S. market leader in cleaning equipment.[4]

Tennant's B5 Battery Powered Burnisher won a 2014 Bronze IDEA (International Design Excellence Awards). Tennant won a spot on Forbes' list of "100 Most Trustworthy Companies in America" for 2014.[3]

In 2017, Tennant announces the acquisition of IPC Group, a company based in Italy manufacturing cleaning machines.[5]
