The Men's Singles tennis competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London will be held at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in Wimbledon, London, from 28 July to 5 August 2012, making it the first Olympic grass court tournament since tennis was re-introduced to the Games.[1] The event will be run and organised by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the International Tennis Federation (ITF), and will be part of the Association of Tennis Professionals tour. The event will be best of three sets, except for the final which will be best of five sets. Tie-breaks will be in use for all sets except the fifth set of the final and the third set of all other matches.[2]

Rafael Nadal is the reigning champion having won gold at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.[2]
