Athanasios (Thanos) Plevris (Greek: Αθανάσιος (Θάνος) Πλεύρης; born 1977) is a Greek member of parliament and son of Greek author Konstantinos Plevris. He was elected into office in the 2007 parliamentary election with the Popular Orthodox Rally party.[1]

Plevris practices law in Athens, having completed post-graduate study in Heidelberg University, and earned a doctorate from the University of Athens. He completed his military service as a sergeant in the 32nd Marines Brigade.[2] In June 2009 Plevris was elected as MEP and was replaced in the Greek parliament by Georgios Georgiou [pl] but returned to the Greek parliament again after the Greek legislative election, 2009. He became a member of New Democracy in May 2012.[citation needed]
