Untitled

The Grand Tour is an album by American country music artist George Jones. This album was released in 1974 (see 1974 in country music) on Epic his fifth for the label. It peaked at number 11 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and contained the hit title track, which reached a peak of number 1 in August of 1974; it was his fifth number one song, and his sixth as of that point.

Reception

Allmusic's Thom Jurek gave the album a perfect score (5 of 5), saying that Jones "poured his heart into every syllable and its chilling quality after almost 30 years attests to this". He also praised other cuts on the record. He called "Pass Me By (If You're Only Passing Through) "one of those haunting, mid-tempo honky tonk love songs that won't let go after the first chorus has been sung".
