The Mysterious Package Company is an organization that describes itself as "an organization that tells stories using the postal service as our medium."[1][2] The stories, many of which are inspired by the works of H. P. Lovecraft, are told via packages that contain items that relate to the story.[3][4] The project was launched in 2012 and in June 2014 the Mysterious Package Company launched a successful Kickstarter campaign that was coordinated by Jason Kapalka, one of the founders of PopCap.[5] The project is available by membership only and successful applicants can purchase packages that will be sent to themselves or a recipient of their choice.[4]

Geek.com gave the Mysterious Package Company a favorable review, stating that it was "an incredible service if you want to get a strange gift for any lovers of esoterica you know."[6]
