The Place in Between (Template:Lang-fr) is a 2010 Burkinabé film.

Synopsis

After the death of her father, Amy, a young mixed-race woman leaves Paris to go to Bobo in Burkina Faso to find her mother from whom she was separated when she was eight. But only her aunt lives in her childhood home. Amy goes from one family foyer to another; although comforting, it is also stifling. Moreover, she encounters a city in which she no longer has a point of reference. Far from there, Mariam, a 45-year-old Burkinabe, is an office cleaner and lives in Paris trying to find her daughter. She recently met Ester, the manager of the company where she works. Gradually these two lonely women grow to appreciate each other.
