The Thinker is a statue, in JIPMER, Pondicherry which is replica of Auguste Rodin's famous sculpture. It was unveiled at the JIPMER campus on 18 April 1967 by Dr. A.L Mudaliar, then the Vice Chancellor of the University of Madras.

Although it is not widely known it is located at the Lister house grounds behind the open-air auditorium in a quiet park and spending time there is almost a meditative experience. This is one of three known replicas of Rodin's sculpture in India and is a hidden gem of Pondicherry.
